Grants available through the Virginia Commission for the Arts!

Virginia National Ballet is offering two incredible productions for touring for the 2017-18 Season:

  • CARMINA BURANA.  Artistic Director Rafik Hegab choreographed the world premiere of this fantastic production in March 2014 to standing ovations at the Hylton Center.  The powerful, iconic musical score of Carmina Burana is matched by world class choreography, beautiful sets and lighting for a memorable evening of ground breaking dance.
  • LA BOHEME.  Virginia National Ballet is premiering La Boheme in February 2017 at the Hylton Performing Arts Center.  The famous heart wrenching love story of Puccini’s beloved opera is brought to life with beautiful dancing, sets, and costumes. This is the first time that a dance company is performing this ballet in Virginia.
