Rebecca Morneau, Apprentice, has been dancing since the age of 2. Her first ballet class was at the Community Center in Arlington, Virginia. From there she moved to D’s Dance in Bealeton, Virginia where she danced for 5 years. While there, she was Clara in The Nutcracker at age 7, participated in many dance competitions, and was an assistant teacher for the young children’s classes. She started taking tap, jazz, and lyrical, along with ballet. She then moved to For A Dancer, Inc., where she participated in more regional and national dance competitions. In 2013, Rebecca then moved to Gainesville Ballet School, where she started to take ballet seriously. She danced in many roles while at Gainesville, most recently the soloist role in Flowers in The Nutcracker, and roles in Carmen and Giselle. She continues to learn new things daily about dance at Gainesville. Rebecca is honored to be dancing as an Apprentice with the company in the 2016-17 season.
